Daycare Requirements
To join daycare, all dogs are required to be up to date on their DHPP/DHLPP, Rabies and Bordatella vaccination.
Puppies must be at least 14-16 weeks old and up to date on bordatella, current in their distemper series and have received their rabies vaccination prior to their first day.
All dogs over 7 months must be spayed or neutered.
Dogs that have been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days will require veterinarian certification of health to be admitted or readmitted.
A fecal test is required for all dogs atleast 6 months before their first day. After that they are required every 12 months.
Daycare is available for dogs of all size.
Keep in mind this is a small daycare with only one group of 6 dogs per day. Once I get to know your dog and see what dogs they play best with I can recommend what days would be best for your dog to come to daycare.
Before your dogs first day they must pass a pup interview. This will only take about 30 minutes to an hour. My dog and I will meet your dog to make sure they get along with people and other dogs. If they pass this, your dog will be invited to their first day of daycare.
Their first day will also be evaluated to make sure they get along with the other dogs in their group. Depending on how their first day goes, I will make certain recommendations. I may recommend a number of days a week your dog should come to daycare or that they should come a different day of the week with a different group or I may recommend that daycare is not a good fit.
If daycare is not a good fit, it is not because your dog is a bad dog. All dogs are different, and not every dog enjoys or benefits from a group daycare environment. Some dogs may feel overwhelmed by the noise, activity, or social interaction, while others simply thrive better with a different routine or setting. Our goal is always to provide an environment where every dog can feel safe, comfortable, and successful, and sometimes that means recognizing that daycare just isnβt the right fit.
